West has exhibited at Eigse Arts Festival, the RHA, the RUA, the Royal Society of Marine Artists, and the New English Art Club. His work is in the collections of the OPW, Texaco and BP. Fingal County Council has a series of seven paintings by West on display in the Balbriggan Library. Ground Floor Gallery – Ongoing: Shore Cathy Henderson. Work made over the last two to three years around the Irish coast. Henderson graduated with a Masters of Fine Art from NCAD in 1993. In 2007, she worked as Artist in Residence in Dublin City Council and in 2009 at St James’s Hospital, Dublin. The residencies resulted in two large-scale bodies of work, which documented support personnel. In 2010, she joined the Blackchurch Print Studio and received an Arts Council Artist in the Community award to fund an art project with a group of long-term prisoners. She was recently awarded a commission, jointly with Robert Ballagh, to design a commemorative artwork to celebrate the centenary of the 1913 Lockout and the establishment of the ITGWU. She has exhibited in the UK, Ireland, France, and Canada. Her work is in numerous private and public collections, including the Ulster Museum, ESB, and Queens University Belfast.

Paris-based Irish artists and architecture graduates Anne Cleary and Denis Connolly have been working on this project for over two years with an international team of artists and scientists. The exhibition is an educational and aesthetic experience for those interested in art and science. The project will be exhibited in various Irish venues from Aug 2012 to Jan 2013.

Apr 26-May 26 DOCUMENT! 120 years of visual arts documentation in Ireland from the National Irish Visual Arts Library (NIVAL) at NCAD. The National Irish Visual Arts Library is a public research resource dedicated to the collection of information on 20th century and contemporary Irish visual art and design. DOCUMENT! comprises selected Irish arts documentation from the library collection at NIVAL, from 1890 to the present day. A time-line of examples from each decade represents the physical and intellectual content of the library's collections, including printed ephemera, books and journals, exhibition catalogues, archives, special collections and digital material. NIVAL’s collection policy includes Irish visual art from the whole island as well as Irish art abroad and foreign artists working in Ireland. The exhibition includes contemporary and historic collections such as the Artists and Galleries Files Collections, Illustrated Books, Posters, the Artists Books Collection, the College Student Registers (1877-1970s), the Earley and Company Archives (1852-1974), the Friends of the National Collections (1924-present), the Mainie Jellett Collection, the Irish Exhibition of Living Art (1947-1971), the Rosc ’71 Collection, and the Graphic Studio Dublin Archive (1960-present). A new website, www.nival.ie, has been launched to mark NIVAL's 15th anniversary. A number of programmed public events coincide with DOCUMENT!. This year’s eva International (formerly ev+a) examines how certain artistic practices provide an active invocation of the present and speculates how we arrived here in the first place. Selected from over 2000 proposals from 76 countries, After the Future features a central exhibition curated by Annie Fletcher, Curator of Exhibitions at the Van Abbemuseum, Eindhoven; this exhibition is in Limerick City Gallery of Art and empty commercial properties in the city centre. Alongside this core exhibition are a series of collaborations with local, national, and international partners. Apr 5-28 Miscellany Diarmuid Delargy. Shark Series based on the theme of "Art and Extinction", with the shark motif as homage to the European natura morta tradition and the Pieta. The genesis of these paintings is in Delargy's long experience in printmaking, particularly in etching and lithography., which he used to develop this accumulated knowledge of the etching surface into muted tonal painting. "Delargy's oils ... display the same raw beauty as his prints." Critic Robert O'Byrne. This exhibition will travel to Zacetacus, Mexico, later this year. From May 3 Fovea Vivienne Roche. Over the last 30 years, Roche has worked in large-scale bronze, glass, steel, sailcloth, stuccodore plaster, & reconfigured landscape. Drawing, watercolour and photography have also been central to her work. Her artistic themes derive from site-specific dialogues between architecture and sculpture; the emotional resonances of the coastal landscape in which she lives; relationships between male and female; archaeology sites and their artefacts; music and the visual.

Built by the local authority in the 1970s, the houses in this area have a fragile, temporary quality about them.
