Jun-Jul: Kate MacDonald - Abbeyleix
Graduate Biennale Award Winner. Worn fiddle strings act as self-portraits, reflecting on identity,
disconnection, and the shift toward living authentically. Drawing from her background in traditional
Irish music, MacDonald uses collected materials from luthier Muireann Ní Shé to follow a thread
through drawing, print, and installation. The work explores themes of masking, unmasking, and personal transformation.  MacDonald’s multidisciplinary
practice reflects her interest in storytelling through sustainable printmaking, drawing, video/moving image, and found objects. Exhibition accompanied by a
Printmaking Workshop on Sat, Jul 5, 2.30pm. Fee: e10
